Rajashakeran, born on 12th September 1928 in Maralawadi Village, Kanakapura Taluk, was an extraordinary visionary admired for his simple living and high thinking. He earned the rare distinction of representing all four legislative houses—Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, Karnataka Legislative Assembly, and Legislative Council. His lifelong dedication to public service, democratic values, and social upliftment continues to inspire future generations committed to grassroots leadership and meaningful change across the nation.
Asian Institute for Rural Development empowers grassroots communities by promoting local leadership, sustainable agriculture, education, and health awareness. It focuses on solving rural and urban challenges through self-governance and resource access.
To foster human resource development through encouraging and building local leadership at the grass-root level for effective self-governance and fostering empowerment of people both at urban and rural sectors.
